Beautiful tuscan binding in full calf, blindstamped impressions on covers and on the spine. Plates decorated with various squares of fillets and a floral border, two central friezes.

(16), 64, 66-247, 275-330, numbered leaves with numbering errors (i.e. 307). Title within beautiful woodcut border, initials and woodcut friezes, italicized text.

First and only Giuntina edition of Aulus Gellius' Attic Nights, also estimated for the elaborate woodcut border with cherubs, masks and grotesques that adorns the title page (which here bears notes of ancient hand) and is described in Sander 3063. Good condition, binding with slight leaks at the hinges of covers.
