Stylish contemporary binding in full vellum rigid, nails, dishes, set of two embossed thread; smooth back, with hinges at points, traces of two ribs, deperdite. (16) - 654 - 32 pages numbered, including the full title with portrait of the author and architectural shrine within typographic mark, all at a woodcut, and a second title for the section [...], The five songs that, although bears the marking "in Venetia, Nicolo Moretti below" with other typographic mark, is part of the same publication. Text in the vernacular, with the eighth in italics paginated in two columns, drop caps inhabited and decorated foliage, and decorations in woodcut printing. In the text, 51 plates full-page woodcuts, rich with illustrations of figures within frames, each of which placed at the beginning of a song. At contropiatto superior record eight-twentieth-century pen. The book, lavishly illustrated, is a popular edition of Ariosto's poem, full of the five songs. The devices belong to comment Jerome Brooks, the author's biography at the beginning of the book is by Giovan Battista Pigna, while summaries of the intricate stories of the characters are Nicholas Eugene. Profit is the bottom of the volume, the extensive index of all the rooms opening words of the poem. The edition, described as "very rare" by Agnelli and Ravegnani, is historically significant because it was used several times as a reference text by the Academy of bran. Exemplary conservative in good condition, slight wear to binding, in the lower back, and the title page.
