FIRST EDITION of Clavius’ most important
contribution to the science of dialling. Describing
fixed and portable dials over 654 well illustrated
folio pages, this was a sumptuous work that can
only have been produced at considerable cost.
Title browned and waterstained, some spotting
and browning of text, 2Y 4r soiled at margin.
